PET ALERT🥶 🐶🐱
Temperatures are forecasted to drop into the teens with wind chills in the single digits for the next few days!
Do the right thing and keep your ENTIRE family safe and warm inside—that INCLUDES YOUR PETS!
Remember that outdoor dogs not only need shelter in cold temperatures, but IT’S THE LAW!

If it's cold for you, it's cold for your pets! Bringing them indoors overnight will be so much better for them. But if you can’t, remember, ALL Texas dogs are protected by the Safe Outdoor Dogs Act and cannot be tethered with chains, and MUST have:

➡️ Access to adequate shelter - adequate shelter is defined as being well constructed with a roof, enclosed sides, a doorway, and a solid, level floor raised at least 2 inches from the ground. There should be no cracks or openings in the structure other than the entrance and it must be wind-proof and rain-proof.
➡️ Access to drinkable water (not frozen) & food
