RE: Technical glitch that affected the recent ACH drafts for utility payments

Dear Customers,
,
The City of Abernathy has been working closely with our software provider to resolve this issue, which resulted in your accounts being drafted twice without the payments reflecting in our utility billing system.

The good news is that we have processed refunds, and we expect all amounts to post back to your bank accounts within the next few days.

On Monday, October 21st, we will initiate a new draft for the water utility payments from the customers impacted by this issue.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your understanding.

Thank you for your patience.

Sincerely,
The City of Abernathy

Dear Customers,

On Friday, October 4th, our software encountered technical issues affecting our ACH draft accounts, and we only became aware of the problem this morning.

As a result, some citizens enrolled in ACH draft may have been charged twice and/or refunded twice.
We are actively collaborating with our software company to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

Please allow sufficient time for the adjustments to reflect on your account.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,
The City of Abernathy

This isn’t the proper way to do a solicitation. Was this posted in the news paper? What time does the bid end? Does the City of Abernathy use an action site like ReneBates? There are more question here then just a “bid.”
