RE: Technical glitch that affected the recent ACH drafts for utility payments
Dear Customers,
,
The City of Abernathy has been working closely with our software provider to resolve this issue, which resulted in your accounts being drafted twice without the payments reflecting in our utility billing system.
The good news is that we have processed refunds, and we expect all amounts to post back to your bank accounts within the next few days.
On Monday, October 21st, we will initiate a new draft for the water utility payments from the customers impacted by this issue.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your understanding.
Thank you for your patience.
Sincerely,
The City of Abernathy
