Abernathy Independent School District

Abernathy Independent School District encompasses 179 square miles in Hale and Lubbock Counties. The district has an enrollment of a little over 780 students. AISD offers a full-day Pre-K program, full-day Kindergarten, a school-wide Title I program vocational programs, dual credit courses, band, athletics, special education, and gifted/talented classes. Abernathy ISD students have the opportunity to graduate with 36 hours of college credit.

Literacy Lubbock

Literacy Lubbock’s mission is to support and execute programs that enable people in Lubbock and the surrounding communities to become literate. Literacy Lubbock encourages its students to reach their full potential and supports its students as they strive for self-sufficiency and independence. Literacy Lubbock offers classes, tutors, tools, and resources in three main programs: Basic Reading, GED Test Prep, and English as a Second Language. To encourage the little ones to love reading early on, Literacy Lubbock offers a Family and Childhood Literacy program, where it gives away free books and instructs parents on the value of reading to their children.
