City Offices & Public Library will close at noon on Tuesday, December 24th and be closed Wednesday, December 25th through Friday, December 27th for the Christmas holiday.
We will reopen for normal business hours on Monday, December 30th.

City Transfer Station will be closed Wednesday, December 25th & Saturday, December 28th.

Emergency crews will operate as normal during this time.

HOURS OF WORK - Monday - Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p. m. Friday 8:00a.m.- 12:00p.m. Must be available to work overtime and be “On Call” as assigned by supervisor.

CLASSIFICATION - Permanent Full-time

Abernathy Lighted Christmas Parade
Wednesday, December 11 at 6pm.

For everyone’s safety, We ask that you please do not step into the parade route while the parade is going on- there will plenty of time to get candy after the parade!

📍PARADE ROUTE CHANGE
Route will be a little different this year!
We will begin at 1st and Ave D (line up West on 1st street) and head north on Ave D to Main Street and turn east on Main to Ave C, where the parade will end.

Order of Line up:
PD- American Legion- EMS/FIRE- ATV/ Golf Carts- Bicycles- Floats- Horses - Vehicles/Motorcycles- Tractors - Big Rigs - PD

Come listen to the Abernathy Band Concert @6pm, grab some coffee and dinner!
Then watch the parade that begins at 6:45! After the parade, have cookies and pictures with Santa!
